Here are some guidelines to help as you prepare your items for the sale. Click here to see what is acceptable and not acceptable for the sale.

Supplies Needed

HANGERS – in order to protect your clothing items we only accept plastic hangers. Find plastic hangers at Wal-Mart, Target, Dollar Stores. Retail plastic hangers are acceptable too.

STRING TAGS – Avery White Marking Tags Strung (size 1.75 x 1.093 inches) are required on each item to affix our barcode labels to. You can find these at Wal-Mart, office supply stores, the Rhea Lana Store or large quantities may be purchased from Amazon.

You’ll also need re-sealable bags (for shoes, small toys, etc…), masking tape, scotch tape, sharpie, and safety pins. For large quantities of quality safety pins we recommend ordering from Cleaners Supply .

If you would like to print your barcodes at home you’ll need adhesive address labels size 1” X 2 5/8” (30 up). We recommend ordering from Amazon Here. Please note: all labels printed at home MUST be printed in color.

Clothing

The better they look, the better they sell! Please take time to wash and iron your clothes if necessary. Please check for stains, broken zippers, torn hemlines, etc. We will be double checking at the store and will not receive any item that is not in excellent condition.

Use children's plastic hangers for sizes 8 and below. Use larger plastic hangers for sizes 10 and above. No metal hangers, please! These can snag and tear your items. Plastic hangers can be purchased at discount stores or feel free to use the free plastic hangers you get at some retail stores. This makes shopping more pleasant for everyone!

ACCEPTABLE ITEMS FOR THE FALL & WINTER EVENT - we will accept all fall and winter clothing, including short-sleeved shirts. We will not accept spaghetti strap type shirts, tank tops or sleeveless shirts, shorts of any type, swimwear, sandals, or flip flops - save these items for the Spring & Summer event. We DO NOT accept formal dresses. Don't forget to consign your Halloween costumes, Holiday & Christmas outfits, snow suits, winter jackets and winter accessories!

Please group items together so that they will equal a value of at least $4.00. They need to be pinned together as well so they don't get separated. Infant sleeping gowns or onesies and children's pajamas are great to group together as a set of 2 or 3. They may be pinned together on one hanger.

All pants must be clipped or pinned to a hanger, not folded over, as they tend to end up on the floor and shoppers want to see the entire pant to purchase.

Safety pin all sets and accessories securely together with pants hung on the back of the shirt. Both pieces need to be viewable without unpinning them. Another good option for outfits is to hang the top and bottom separately and bundle the two hangers together with a rubber band.

Item Limits

In order to keep our inventory high-end and of the highest quality, we are limiting consignors to 200 items per consignor code.

Individual Limits are the following:

* Newborn Clothing (0-9 months) is limited to 30 hangers per gender per consignor. The limit includes clothing only.

* Maternity Clothing is limited to 15 hangers per consignor. The limit includes clothing only.

* Juniors Clothing is limited to 20 hangers per consignor. The limit includes clothing only.

Please note - Boy's and Girl's Junior sizes in teen styles of the following brands only. Abercrombie & fitch, adidas, aeropostale, altered state, all brands from american eagle, aritzia, billabong, bke, brandy melville, charlotte russe, converse, draper james, forever 21, free people, h&m, hollister, jordans, la hearts, levi's, lily pulitzer, lucky brand, lululemon, madewell, michael kors, miss me, nike, obey, on the byas, patagonia, pink by victoria secret, polo, southern marsh, southern tide, sperrys, steve madden, the north face, top shop, true religion, uggs, under armour, vans, xhilaration and sports team apparel. We accept boys and girls sizes up to size 20 and junior sizes up to 15 in teen styles. Acceptance of adult sized items in juniors clothing is at the discretion of Rhea Lana's.

We are no longer accepting Junior's Formal/Prom dresses.

- An entire outfit or a bundle is only considered one item as long as it can be sold together.

**If you have more than 200 items in EXCELLENT condition, you may sign up for one additional consignor code. A $10 consignor fee will be deducted per code.

Shoes

We will be accepting like-new Fall AND Winter shoes .
Please save all sandals' and flip flops for our Spring and Summer Event.

First, put your consignor number and price on masking tape on the bottom of both shoes. Then safety pin the price tag to a shoe lace or through the shoe eyelet. Please zip tie the shoes together OR you may put the shoes (with the bar code attached) inside a ziploc bag.
WE WILL NOT ACCEPT SHOES WITH SCUFFED TOES, DIRTY, SMELLY OR DISCOLORED SOLES.

Bedding

We will accept the following items for our bedding section:
Crib, Bassinet, Twin and Full size sheets.
Decorative Pillows that are appropriate for a child's room ONLY.
Sleeping Bags and Nap Mats

Hang and pin sheets over hangers so that shoppers can see them. Use a safety pin to attach the string tag to the sheet.

We will NOT be able to accept:
King or Queen size sheets
Comforters or Bedding Sets of any size
Crib bumpers (including mesh bumpers)
Duvet covers

Blankets

We will be accepting receiving and themed children's blankets this sale! Please NO afghans or large blankets.

Hang and pin blankets over hangers so that shoppers can see them.

Misc. Items

Bottles, rattles, socks, bows, etc. should be grouped together appropriately in a ziploc bags. Attach the string tag to the inside of the bag using a small piece of tape on the top part of the string tag.

Please write your consignor number and price on the Ziploc bag with a Sharpie in the case that the string tag comes off during the sale.

Breast Pumps - the only brands we accept are Willow and Elvie.

We will not accept used nipples or pacifiers - only new, in the package of these items.

Toys, Furniture, Equipment

Must be clean and in working order (batteries included.)

Small parts must be bagged and attached to the main part very securely. If parts get separated, the item will not sell.

Books do not need to be put in ziplock bags. If are you grouping them you can place them in a ziplock bag. Attach the string tag to the inside of the bag using a small piece of tape at the top of the string tag. It is also good to write your consignor number and info on the ziploc bag with a Sharpie in case the tag comes off.

Video games should not be taped shut until after they have been through Consignor check-in.

Puzzles should be wrapped securely in clear Saran wrap to keep the pieces intact.

All toys and games MUST include ALL pieces. TOYS NOT PACKAGED APPROPRIATELY WILL BE TURNED AWAY.

We will only accept Disney, Nick Jr. or Build a Bear stuffed animals in like new condition. We are no longer accepting porcelain dolls or squishmellows of any size.

Large Little Tikes Toys and Furniture are in high demand! When tagging large toys it is best to also attach a piece of masking tape to the toy with your consignor information. This will enable us to sell your toy even if the tag comes off! We sell 95% of Toys, Furniture and Baby Equipment!

Toy recall information- Due to the high number of toy recalls during the past year, we will be inspecting toys very carefully. We reserve the right to pull any toy that we think might have been recalled. To help us, please do not bring any toys that have been subject to a recall. Car Seats

Your car seats/bases must be less than 5 years old OR within one year of the expiration date on the manufacture sticker. Manufacture sticker is typically found on the bottom or side of the car seat or base. It must not be subject to recall or have been in an accident. You must be the original owner. You may check the following website for current recalls: www.carseat.org/Recalls/179NP.pdf All seat covers and straps must be thoroughly cleaned. You will be asked to sign a car seat waiver at Consignor Drop Off. Car seats will be closely inspected for safety reasons.

Cribs

Crib Policy - We will NOT accept any cribs manufactured before Dec 31, 2010. For cribs manufactured between Dec 31, 2010, and June 28, 2011, we can accept them if they have a certificate of compliance and have not been recalled. A certificate of compliance would have been included with the purchase of a crib manufactured between 12/31/10 - 6/28/11. The certificate states that the crib met the standards that were going into effect on June 28, 2011. For cribs manufactured after June 28, 2011, we can accept them if they have not been recalled.
